James Dawson completes the Liverpool, Chester to Liverpool Bike Ride for Olivia’s Fund (please see Gallery) James successfully completed a whopping 101 mile bike ride on Sunday the 18th July. Julie, Darren and Aimee want to congratulate James and thank him so much for contributing to Olivia’s Fund at Hope House. The ride was great fun, it started at the entrance to the Wallasey Tunnel in Liverpool which was closed for the event and the order of the morning was rain and lots of it (!) but as the day went on it became sunny and dry. After passing through Chester I did manage to get lost at one point on the way to Delamere Forest (not just me but about 50 other riders also) - due to poor signage but we got back on track however this meant that 90 miles turned into 102 in the end! We successfully found our way back to Liverpool and through the tunnel again in plenty of time before it re-opened. Total riding time was just under 6hrs with an average speed of 17mph so I am very happy with that.
